1. About these terms
These terms apply to www.freetoolsdownload.com. By using this website, its online tools, or software downloaded from it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Everything on this site is free
All tools and downloads on FreeToolsDownload.com are provided free of charge. There is no purchase, no subscription, no credit system and no payment of any kind on this website. We will never ask you to pay us here.
Some of the software offered here also has an optional paid version, sold separately on freetoolsdownload.com. That is a different website with its own terms. Nothing on this site requires it.
3. Accounts
You can use the online tools without an account. An account is only needed to save QR codes or to keep a record of your downloads.
You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Please give accurate information when registering, and tell us if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else. You may delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or remove an account that is used for spam, abuse, illegal activity, or attempts to disrupt the service.
4. Using the tools
You may use the tools for personal or business purposes, including work you do for clients. You may not use them to create content that is unlawful, fraudulent, or designed to deceive — for example, a QR code that impersonates a payment recipient or leads to a phishing page.
You are responsible for what you encode in a QR code and for where it points. Always scan and test a code before printing or distributing it.
5. Dynamic QR codes
A dynamic QR code works by pointing at this website, which then forwards the scan to your chosen destination. This means it depends on our service continuing to operate.
We aim to keep dynamic QR codes working, but because they are provided free we cannot guarantee they will resolve indefinitely. If you are printing something you cannot cheaply reprint, consider a static QR code, which encodes your link directly and will keep working regardless of this website.
6. Software downloads
Software you download runs on your own computer or your own web hosting. You are responsible for installing it, for keeping backups, and for testing it before using it on a live website.
Take a backup before running any migration or restore tool. A restore replaces the contents of a website. Used incorrectly, it can overwrite a site you did not intend to change. We cannot recover data lost this way.
7. No warranty
The website, the tools and the downloads are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise the site will be uninterrupted or error free, or that a tool will suit a particular purpose. Free software is provided in the hope it is useful, and you use it at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, we are not liable for any loss of data, loss of business, lost profits, or indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website or anything downloaded from it. Because we charge you nothing, nothing you can recover from us is more than nothing — we say this plainly so there is no misunderstanding about what free means.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Intellectual property
The FreeToolsDownload name, logo, site design and written content belong to us. Software downloaded from this site remains subject to whatever licence accompanies it; where that software is released under an open source licence, that licence governs your use of it.
Content you create with the tools — your QR codes, your converted files — belongs to you. We claim no rights over it.
10. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of this website at any time, including individual tools or downloads. As the service is free, we do this without liability, though we will try to give notice where a change would affect saved dynamic QR codes.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top shows when they were last revised. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
